Summary:
Bryan manages his own consultancy practice that provides services on legislation, industry guidance and safety management systems. He has held senior executive positions in all aspects of the Victorian Government’s OHS agency including responsibility for state-wide inspection, audit and prosecution programs. He draws on his extensive experience in OHS senior management positions and his consulting experience to provide authoritative advice on OHS policy, legislation and management systems. As an experienced social and economic researcher prior to working in government he is also able bring considerable insight to the design and evaluation of intervention programs.

- Prepared high quality industry guides in the areas such as forestry, home care and disability services and hazard based guides in areas including fatigue, amenities, first aid and work related driving safety for government and industry clients;
- Reviewed OHS systems and procedures for a range of clients;
- Undertaken evaluations of OHS programs including construction, safe design, community service, employer improvement and inspectorate programs;
- Facilitated industry and expert groups on subjects such as driver fatigue and workplace bullying;
- Prepared strategic advice for clients on matters such as OHS management systems, performance measurement and public comment processes;
- Prepared regulatory impact statements across a range of subjects and portfolios;
- Undertaken detailed research into subjects such as codes of practice, small business use of chemicals, OHS in construction and OHS in aged care;
- Benchmarked regulations and codes across Australia for the national OHS agency;
- Developed major policy proposals such as the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme;
- Prepared and delivered training on a range of OHS issues;
- Presented papers and published in the OHS field;
- Delivered graduate and post graduate courses on OHS;
- Senior management experience in all government OHS functions.
